Our advanced edition might be for you if you:
Have multiple accounts within your company and want to send the bank a consolidated ACH file
Are a payroll processor - or any processor and need to send a consolidated ACH file
Work with a Service Provider, TPA, HSA, §125 Cafeteria Plan or have a fiduciary/escrow application with multiple accounts.
Issue:
Traditionally, most accounting systems and applications provide information which enables you to only create a separate ACH file for each account. However, if you are working with multiple accounts, this can be a logistical nightmare.
Solution:
Create a consolidated ACH file for multiple accounts using ACH Universal Advanced edition's 'Multiple Origination Account' feature.
How it works:
Profile setup
Initially, you set up a profile for each account including their Name, Company ID and their lookup text (this is mapped as the 'Origination_Account' field below).
Offset record available
In addition, you have the ability to have ACH Universal auto-create an offset record for each batch - specific to that account / client.
Importing transactions - lookup field
Within the data that you are importing, you may have a client number, bank account number - or some other reference field identifying which account / client it relates to. You will want to map this lookup field as the 'Origination_Account'.
During the import process, the system assigns each transaction to an origination account.
Later, when the ACH file is processed, the system will batch each origination account separately. Each batch header (and footer) will be generated in accordance with the NACHA Third-Party Rules and Regulations.
Importing transactions - No lookup field available
Not a problem.
During the import process, you can select the Origination Account that the file belongs to.
QuickBooks user? This is handled automatically for you through our custom interface.
Want to test this feature?
Assuming you have downloaded and installed ACH Universal and created a new account (File > New Account):
Create a profile for each origination account (Edit/Add > Origination Accounts > Add new).
Turn on 'Multiple Origination Accounts' (File > ACH Setup > Screen 6 of 7 > 'Separate Batches by Origination Account').
Import transactions and map the 'Origination_Account' field.
For additional step-by-step help, view the Third-Party Service Provider help file.
Already have multiple ACH files?
If you already have ACH files and need to merge them into one consolidated file, see our ACH-Merge utility.
Reminder - This feature requires ACH Universal Advanced edition.
