While help has been widely available for families in Richmond, Va. fighting well-known illnesses like cancer and autism, no family support services previously existed for children with complex medical illnesses.
Caring for an ill child can be devastating. But with the right tools and resources, families get the support they need so they can focus on what's most important - their child's health and happiness.

Treasury Software sponsored team 'Universal Access' for the NACHA Challenge 2016.
The NACHA Challenge is a team competition that is designed to foster new ways to improve the ACH end-user experience by filling market gaps or removing friction points.
Our submission today focused on the hurdles that SMB clients face when signing up for ACH Service: underwriting and identifying the tools needed to create an ACH file.
--Our team recommends the formal adoption of a 'Good Funds' model to supplement underwriting requirements. This has been supported by many experts in the field, and has been the number one recommendation of the NACHA workgroup 'Improving Access to the ACH Network Project Team.'
--In addition, most SMB clients do not have the tools needed to create an ACH file, and are unaware that this category of solutions even exists. Our team is proposing an awareness campaign by NACHA to promote this category of tools, which are supplied by a number of software providers, including ours.
Thank you to all team members of Universal Access, including Kasfia Rashid, Heather Farnsworth, John Lahrman and Glenn Fromer.

November 6, 2015 - Treasury Software released an updated version of ACH Universal that enables Canadian domestic payments.
"This is a significant update for us, as it's the first ACH Universal release that isn't solely based on US standards." says Debbie Glasser, VP of Marketing. The Canadian format is bundled within ACH Universal and works in an identical manner to the NACHA format - supporting encryption, consolidation and email support - just to name a few of the more popular features.
This format was released in accordance with the Canadian Payments Association Standard 005 1464 byte format - and is compatible with RBC, HSBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank and any bank accepting the format.

ACH Universal Supports NACHA's XML-ACH Remittance Opt-in Program for CTX File Creation.
Treasury Software released and presented ACH Universal's XML capability at the XML-ACH Summit hosted by NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association. To help encourage adoption of NACHA's XML-ACH Remittance Opt-in (XML-ACH) program, Treasury Software is providing their ACH File XML creation tool free to financial institutions and other early adopters for non-production use.
One of the primary goals of the Corporate Trade Exchange (CTX) ACH payment is to provide detailed remittance information in Business-to-Business (B2B) payments so that the receiver can automate the processing of receivables. This automation process, commonly referred to as Straight-through-Processing, often requires bilateral agreements between the parties, as the remittance data in the current Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) format can vary greatly.
"The XML format dramatically simplifies the setup process between the sender and receiver. With the NACHA data dictionary provided within NACHA's opt-in rules, the need for bilateral agreements between the two parties is effectively eliminated," explains Glenn Fromer, CPA and Director of Development at Treasury Software. "We feel that the startup process has always been a barrier to entry, especially within the SMB market. By simplifying this process, we expect to see an increase in participation."
"It's very exciting to see XML-ACH move from concept to reality, and tools like Treasury Software's ACH File XML creation program are key to enabling a more efficient process for payment remittance using standards-based XML," says Robert Unger, Senior Director for NACHA.
NACHA's XML-ACH program allows participants to safely and securely transmit payment remittance information for B2B transactions in a standardized XML format via the ACH Network. The XML-ACH Summit, held November 20, 2013, provided an opportunity for financial institutions, corporates, and B2B service providers to review the program and discuss next steps to achieve industry adoption.

September 18, 2013 - Email notification hosting of check stub information
Treasury Software is now hosting email accounts for users to send check stub remittance information.
Want to send check stub information to your vendors, but don't have Outlook or access to an SMTP server?
Now you can still send out check stub information using Treasury Software's hosted email.
Contact Treasury Software for a hosting license number, and simply enter it into ACH Universal. No additional setup required.
There is no additional charge for use of this service, but this service does require a current subscription or support plan to be in effect.
August 6, 2013 - Auto-encrypt ACH and positive pay files
Automate the process of encrypting your transmission files with industry standard AES security (Maximum-256 bit, Strong - 192 bit or Weak - 128 bit).
To send files securely over the Internet, one has to either encrypt the tunnel or encrypt the file.
Typically, the tunnel is secured via SSL (Secure Socket Layers) in a web upload or in FTP using SSH (Secure Shell). However, some banks rely on email, which you must then use file encryption.

July 29, 2013 - Outlook Integration for email notifications
Send vendors their check stub information in an email directly from Outlook.
"While ACH Universal has had email capabilities for several years, it required the user to have access to their SMTP settings - which often required IT support." says Heather Farnsworth, Operations Manager at Treasury Software. "With Outlook integration, any user that has Outlook can use this feature - without the need for IT support."
"In addition, we have integrated all communications within Outlook, not just check stub remittance. Any file transfer or notification, whether in ACH Universal or Bank Positive Pay - can be sent by Outlook." Farnsworth adds.

February 16, 2013 - Treasury Software released Bank Rec for 2014 (earlier codenamed Bank Rec 3.0), enabling users to perform high-speed Automated Transaction Matching with user defined matching rules.
"While earlier releases of Bank Rec have enabled users to perform high-speed SQL based matching, we now have the ability to classify transactions - and match based on these classifications, along with amount, site numbers and within a date range," says Debbie Glasser, VP of Treasury Software.
"This capability is what used to define the difference between a mid-market and upper-market product. At this point, we are offering an upper-market product at a very competitive price. Looking at the product from end-to-end, including installation, setup and training - we're charging a fraction of what our competitors charge - and installing in days, not weeks or months." adds Glasser.

"To sum it up in three words 'Ease of Use'," says Glenn Fromer, Director of Development.
"We added Windows 8 Metro tiles, a Microsoft Office-style Ribbon Bar, Browser Back/Forward Navigational Buttons - plus re-worked all of our Sample tutorials. We've found that many clients use these sample Excel spreadsheets as templates for production," Fromer added.
While our Ease of Use changes may be great for new users, some of the customers who have been with us for a while - may not want to change. That's ok, we've included an option to enable them to use our legacy menu system. We've made a commitment not just our prospective users, but our existing customers as well.
While our focus on this build was Ease of Use, we've also performed quite a bit of work under the hood. We've migrated to the .NET 4.0 Framework, updated our components - and added components for our 2013 development schedule. By planning in advance, it enables us to avoid major version changes - and enables our clients to perform simple software updates ('patches') which do not typically require IT involvement.
In addition, we are ahead of the curve and made it fully compatible with Windows 8. While many of our corporate clients are still in the planning stages of a Windows 8 rollout -we are ready.
Highlights of the 2013 release:
Windows 8 Compatible - Windows 8 Metro Tiles
Microsoft Office-style Ribbon Bar
Quick Action Navigation - Browser-styled Home, Back and Forward Buttons
All new Samples - Use as templates for Production
Some Sample features:
ACH Hold and Release transactions
Auto-enter into last accessed account on startup

Email notification and ACH Return file handling are now part of the popular ACH Universal Corporate edition, effective immediately.
"With the recent re-engineering or our email and return file handling features, we have significantly reduced our support costs for these items, and basically passed along these savings to our clients," says Debbie Glasser, VP of Marketing at Treasury Software.
The ACH Universal product line ranges from Standard, Corporate to Processor editions. Both features have been traditionally available in the top-line Processor edition.
Existing customers on support can now upgrade to receive these features at no charge.
Richmond, VA - May 2, 2012
"This is an excellent feature for users who start on single-user desktop installs - and then later need to migrate to a multi-user platform," says Heather Farnsworth, Support Manager.
Farnsworth adds, "There has been an increase in the number of clients migrating, as companies seem to prefer to keep their initial investment low - and then roll out to a larger employee base. While we have always had migration tools, this feature is as simple to use as 'point-and-click'."
Treasury Software's Copy Data and Settings feature does more than just migration - it enables your to clone your accounts -whether desktop, SQL Express or SQL Server.
For full flexibility, you can also choose whether you want to copy settings, data - or any combination.
Treasury Software's Copy Data and Settings feature is available for all product lines including Bank Rec, Bank Positive Pay and ACH Universal.

Richmond, VA - February 12, 2012
"To protect your transmission data - you need to either encrypt the tunnel [SSL] or encrypt the file. Here we provide the resources to smaller banks to enable end-to-end processing for file encryption," says Glenn Fromer, Director of Development.
With Phase I (encryption of stored database) completed last quarter - Treasury Software released a new version with encryption built-in for ACH Universal and Bank Positive Pay to safeguard the transmission file.
In addition - a free tool is available to community banks and credit unions to decrypt the file.
Encryption can be activated in any platform, whether desktop, SQL Express or SQL Server.
Treasury Software recommends using Microsoft SQL Server in addition to encryption for maximum security.

Treasury Software reported fiscal year 2011 results showing a 79% increase in new licenses over 2010.
"The increase in licenses has been driven by our subscription pricing, as well as by our new QuickBooks integration," says Glenn Fromer, CPA, Director of Development. "This has had a positive effect on both our top line revenue as well as overall profitability."
